GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ELECTRONIC FILES
Wide Web Press: Maximum of six colours available. Note, if substrate is clear, then white will have to be printed as a base, leaving five remaining colours.
Label Press: Maximum of 10 colours. Note, if a UV Varnish is used, then 9 colours are available.
- Supply files on CD / DVD in Macintosh software format. Adobe Illustrator CS is preferred.
- Include full size colour proofs of each design if possible.
- If design uses photographs or full colour illustrations, place low resolution scans in your file for position and supply original transparency. We will do the high resolution scan.
- DO NOT attempt to do any distortions, chokes or spreads.
- Files should contain all outside package dimensions and print limit margins.
- Include all marks - e.g. design center marks as well as web center marks.
- Supply all Pantone colours in the design and include all fonts used.
- UPC codes should be minimum 100% magnification. All bar codes must be placed to run in the same direction as web travel. This is only for Wide Web designs not for label designs. For labels the min. magnification is 80% and can also be truncated. Produce an accurate die layout so that design fits correctly when printed, sealed and trimmed.
